Kuler.adobe.com is a color scheme designer tool that is available on the Adobe website. The tool allows the user to create a color scheme from a base color, from an image, from several pre-defined themes, or from themes provided by the Adobe community. Rules can be applied to the color scheme, including Analogous, Monochromatic, Triad, Complementary, Compound or Shades. Each scheme consists of five colors, and each color can be adjusted manually using a color wheel and sliders for red, green and blue values. The tools returns the RGB, HSV, CMYK, LAB and HEX values for each color.
Users can save their color schemes with a title and can assign tags to them. The color scheme designer tool is written in Adobe Flash and can be used in any browser with the Adobe Flash plugin. Themes can be browsed by newest, most popular, highest rating or random. Users can also perform a keyword search for themes based on the tags assigned to them by the users who created the theme. Clicking on a theme in the search list brings up a list of tags associated with the theme along with any user comments that have been left about the theme by other users. Users may add a comment about any theme.
